Maria's Red Poodles is a small hobby breeder of miniature poodles and may breed once a year, maybe every other year. Established in 2011. In my childhood, we had a toy poodle, he was white with apricot ears, his name was La Wigi (Wigi for short). The determination for owning a poodle in adulthood was great. Retirement presented an opportunity to own my first poodle, Raja, who has since been retired. Paige is our sole breeding female, she was procured from a breeder in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she is AKC registered, also is DNA, Degenerative Myelopathy, GM2 Gangliosidosis, Neonatal encephalopathy,Osteochondrodyplasia, Von Willebrand disease I and II and PRA, PRCD (clear) tested. Dante is our sole breeding male. He was bought from a Michigan breeder, he is AKC registered, also is DNA, Degenerative Myelopathy, GM2 Gangliosidosis, Neonatal encephalopathy,Osteochondrodyplasia, Von Willebrand disease Iand II and PRA,PRCD (clear) tested. Both poodles have a good temperment, Paige and Dante are both characters with a sense of humor if that's possible for a dog?

Paige has good maternal characteristics. Her puppies will be spoiled from the moment they are born until the time they find their forever home. Although it is hard for all of us here to let the puppies go, great care is taken to assure they find loving, caring homes. No puppy will be placed in a new home unless first approved.

All puppies are seen by my vet within a day of being born and are seen quite frequently there after. The pups receive worming as soon as 10 days old and every other week after. They begin their shot schedule at 6 weeks old and are a vitamin regiment. All puppies are kept for 12 weeks for additional time with their mom for socialization. The pups are checked by my vet for structural soundness (patellas, jaws/bite, eyes etc) before they are allowed to leave for their forever homes. No puppy will leave before veterinary evaluation.​ All potential new owners are encouraged to come to meet the puppies, see their environment. Meet the pup's mom and dad. I do not sell puppies until I have met potential buyers in person.

New owners are expected to peruse and sign a thorough contract that protects both parties and puppy involved. I include with each puppy a blanket with mom's scent on it (to help with the transition), a chew toy, vitamins, all vet shots/wormer/health documentation, 4 generation pedigree, and AKC registration application and AKC puppy pak filled with numerous information for the new puppy owner. I do not/will not ship my puppies. $1500 Limited (pet), $2000 Full AKC registration.
